FAQ

How to install a wall-hung toilet?

Switching to a new, water-efficient toilet can save both money and the environment. A floor-standing toilet is easy to replace - disconnect the water, loosen the screws and install the new one with a seal. Want a modern wall-hung toilet? Then you'll need a fixture in the wall, which gives a stylish look and makes cleaning easier. Whatever your choice, make sure the seal and connections are installed correctly to avoid leaks. Do you need help? A plumber will ensure a smooth installation.

How many litres does a toilet flush?

Usually 2/4 litres - Noro No Rim flushes 3/6 litres.

What is an S-lock on the toilet?

S-lock on a toilet is when the drain goes to the floor, while p-lock is when the drain goes to the wall.

How to clean a toilet?

Start by opening the toilet lid. If you have a toilet lid with Quick-release, this is easy to do by pressing the button on the back of the lid and then lifting the lid completely off. The lid and flush button should be cleaned with warm water and soap, and then wiped with a cloth. Avoid using porcelain cleaner on the flush button and toilet seat. This is because these cleaners are not intended for chrome-plated parts/plastic materials and may therefore risk damaging the flush button with frequent use. The glazed surfaces of a toilet are easy to keep clean and are resistant to most chemicals. Clean often so that cleaning problems do not occur. For hygienic reasons, use a separate cloth to clean the toilet. Use standard porcelain cleaners in the bowl and under the flush rim and wipe the outside of the toilet. For limescale deposits or stubborn dirt, we recommend using a 50-degree hot household vinegar: rub in, leave to work, rinse off. If the stains are severe, the vinegar should be left on overnight. Cleaning tools containing hard abrasives, such as steel wool and green fibre sponge, should not be used. Strong acids such as hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid and strong alkalis such as caustic soda should not be used. Running toilet seats should be repaired as soon as possible.
